Brief Biographical Sketch:

I was born in Minnesota shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall. I like Jack Black and punk rock and Ultimate frisbee. I went to private schools for all of my primary education, which provided me with a number of unique opportunities, including time spent studying abroad in both Mexico and London.

I just recently completed my first year at the University of Chicago, and it was an absolutely incredible experience--I learned a great deal not only from my professors and Teaching assistants, but also from my peers and friends, and I would like to share as much of that knowledge with as many people as possible. I am very excited about my directorial debut in the fall, and would like to make as many people--particularly students with similar aspirations--a part of the process as I can.

A377: Directing for Theater in Splash! Fall 2009 (Oct. 03, 2009)

This class will give you an opportunity to try your hand at directing! We'll talk about the process you need to follow to be a successful director and the need for good collaboration among the director and actors. Then you'll get a chance to try out the directing skills you've learned by participating in a special rehearsal of Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus.
