“Imagination gives us borders… I often feel I am trapped inside someone else’s imagination, and I must engage my own imagination in order to break free.” ~ Adrienne Maree Brown, Emergent Strategy: Shaping Change, Changing Worlds How does the use of one’s imagination spark social and systemic change in the world? What does it mean to blur the lines between the creative and the political experience? What would immigration look like in your ideal world? Students will be introduced to the radical contemporary practices that artists and activists alike use to build creative, impactful lives while also brainstorming ways they can effect change.
