Brief Biographical Sketch:

I am a second year student at the University of Chicago, majoring in "Law, Letters, and Society" and minoring in French. I am from outside of Philadelphia, PA where I spend my summers interning in the local District Attorney's office. I plan on attending law school after graduation in a few years.
I participated on my school's Mock Trial team during all four years of high school, playing both attorneys and witnesses and reaching the State tournament my senior year. At UChicago, I was an attorney for both the prosecution and the defense on the 2008 A Team. The team took third place at the Columbia Invitational and took first place at the Milwaukee Regional Tournament en route to an 11th place finish in our division at the 2008 National Championship Tournament.

H228: Intro to Mock Trial in Splash! 2008 (Oct. 04, 2008)
Mock Trial is a competitive activity that blends legal strategy and analysis with public speaking and performance. Students take the roles of attorneys and witnesses, developing arguments for both sides of a fictional case. This seminar will introduce students to the basics of creating and presenting speeches and witness examinations, as well as allow students to try their own hand at developing questions and arguments for a case.
