Brief Biographical Sketch:
I began working with youth during my first year at the U of C in a very traditional tutoring capacity. Eventually I became involved in a program that teaches debate to middle school students and began to think about education differently. I was heavily influenced by the work of William Ayers, and I came to see the potential education has for addressing the injustices in our society. I am spending this summer working at the Chicago Freedom School. I can't wait to share everything I learn with the students and to learn from them.
