Brief Biographical Sketch:
I am currently pursuing a MS in Secondary Education at Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy. I graduated from The University of Chicago with an undergraduate degree in philosophy, and have taught courses for Splash! since the program's inception in 2007. At Northwestern, I am studying to become certified and teach English and Language Arts grades 6-12. I focus on improving literacy in young adults and fostering interest in the written and visual arts. My academic interests include interpretation theory, history of aesthetics and literary theory, psycholinguistics, and semantics and the philosophy of language. I am also deeply interest in film theory, especially montage.
