A1797: Intro to Film Projection at Doc Films in Droplet Winter 2020 (Feb. 08, 2020)
Everybody's seen movies in theaters, but have you ever wondered how the image actually makes it onto the big screen? Now you get to try it yourself! You will learn to project both 16mm and 35mm film as well as digital formats with a projectionist at the University theater and film society, Doc Films.

The P vs NP problem is one of the major unsolved problems in math and computer science today. It even has a million dollar prize. But what exactly is it? It's a problem about other problems, from finding solutions to systems of equations to Sudoku, asking how fast they can be solved. While we won't be able to solve P vs NP in this class, we will go through what it is and why it is so important.
