Brief Biographical Sketch:

I'm May, a fourth-year in the college majoring in English and Comparative Literature. I was born in Taiwan and raised in Hong Kong, and am passionate about poetry and translation. In my free time, you can find me swing dancing or brainstorming new ways to eat oatmeal!

L1754: Ekphrasis: Turning Painting into Poetry in Splash Droplet Fall 2018 (Nov. 17, 2018)
An "ekphrastic" poem is a poem written about a painting, or another form of visual art. In this course, we'll look at how different poets respond to visual representation, and think about the relationship between different art forms. We'll also try our hand at writing our own ekphrastic poem!
