Brief Biographical Sketch:
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Stephen enjoys people, so he has been trying to organize collective endeavors for years, with varying levels of success. He also studies people - and the societies they form, and how they form those societies - at the University of Chicago. Currently in his third year as a sociology major and human rights minor, he still finds time to get crunk and/or watch the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. He would like to thank Bullwinkle for everything. Some theorists blame it on TV. Others, on human nature. Still others, on our lack of real power in the first place.
Or is civic engagement alive and well, thriving in new ways on the internet, after all?
