M1503: Adventures in Probability in Splash Spring 2016 (Apr. 30, 2016)
We live in a world of probabilities. Whether we recognize it or not, in our day to day lives we all make choices seeking out certainty, but settling for likeliness. In this class, I'll teach you probability intuitively so that when you leave my class, you'll be able to recognize and apply mathematical concepts in your everyday life. (No math prerequisite or knowledge is required)


C1325: Economics of Crime in Splash Fall 2014 (Oct. 04, 2014)
In this class we'll look at underground markets and the influence of crime on other aspects of economic life, including education, health care, substance abuse, and the labor market.


A1270: Survival: Making Economic Decisions in Cascade! Winter 2014 (Jan. 28, 2014)
Imagine yourself stranded in a foreign land. What do you bring? What will you eat? How do you get home? How do you survive? Welcome to the Survival game! Together we'll travel across the world, learn about different cultures, customs, and regional economies. We will begin on a stranded island and learn about fundamental economic principles, and then build more principles as we travel from location to location. If you're interested in learning about economics through participating in this game, then this is the class for you.

Have you ever wondered how apps like Instagram, Candy Crush Saga, or Angry Birds work? In this class I will introduce you to developing apps for Android and iOS. I will teach you the fundamentals of app development and hopefully inspire you to make an app of your own in your spare time.
